Beauty and the Diamond Thief: Strange Tango (Review)

Diamonds are a thief's best friend

Adam Patrick Henry, professional jewel thief, knows an amateur—and a cheap wig—when he sees one. The mysterious woman across the room is far from a pro, but her good instincts might come in handy on his next job. He could use a partner, and if that partner happens to be irresistible, all the better.

Jessica Hughes has a long way to climb—and a whole lot to prove—before she's back where she belongs. A cruel setup cost Jessica her job and her reputation, and she's not opposed to a disguise and some underhanded tactics if it means getting her life back. But she's no thief, not really, and teaming up with a gorgeous stranger who's clearly up to no good might prove more dangerous than it's worth.

Working a job this big could give Adam and Jessica everything they've ever wanted—if their rocky partnership lasts long enough to carry it off.

Michelle Dayton brings together an intelligent beauty and street smart thief. Strange Tango takes readers on a round trip across the country as Jessica Hughes seeks to clear her name and help Adam Patrick Henry pull off the biggest diamond heist ever.

Strange Tango is fun and full of intrigue and romance! Jessica and Adam have a chemistry that surpasses the fact that they're on different sides of the law. With his skills and Jessica's savvy the two form a hesitant partnership until the time comes that their interests diverge. Turns out planning a heist brings the two closer than they anticipated. I like that the story moves at a fast pace, but gives you time to really get to know the characters. They have depth that shows what drives them and makes this story the beginning of an intriguing series.

Jessica reminds me of Mia from Julie Anne Lindsey's Geek Girl Mysteries. She's a computer genius at the top her game willing to risk all for truth and justice. If women with brains who are not afraid to take on the world are your cup of tea, then jump into Strange Tango now!
